Getting to the Market

Address: New Covent Garden Market, London, SW8 5BH

Right in the heart of London and helpfully outside the congestion zone, the Flower Market is at the centre of Vauxhall on the south bank of the Thames. We’re easily accessible from all corners of London and located just 5 mins from Westminster and 10 mins from the West End and the City.

By car – The dedicated Flower Market Entrance is at the eastern end of Nine Elms Lane. The Flower Market Entrance is open throughout the day, but closed from midday Saturdays til 6.30pm on Sundays.

By rail – Vauxhall Rail Station and Vauxhall Underground (Victoria Line) are only a few hundred yards from the Flower Market.

By bus – Bus routes 156 and 344 (24 hour service) run past the Main Entrance and the Flower Market Entrance on Nine Elms Lane (A3205). Routes 77, 87 and N87 run along Wandsworth Road (A3036) and stop just by the pedestrian entrance.

Entry to the Market

For vehicles there is a £5 entry charge payable at the entrance to the Market; this includes your parking whilst you shop. If you visit the market twice or more a week, it works out cheaper for you to buy an annual entry permit. To find out more about permits, please call our Operations Team on 020 7720 2211.

Pedestrians enter the market free of charge.

Parking at the Market

Once you’ve paid to enter the market there is plenty of free parking. Choose to park around the edge of the market directly outside your favourite wholesalers to make it even easier to get your purchases to your car, or in our sheltered underground car park.

NB clampers do operate on site so please make sure you park in the designated car parks only!

Road Traffic System

Please remember that the Road Traffic Act applies to all roads in the market and that there is a speed limit of 20mph throughout the market, unless otherwise indicated. Please also be aware of Fork Lift Trucks and pedestrians at all times.
