New Covent Garden Market wholesaler FoodPoint celebrated its tenth anniversary in July 2026, with a brand-new livery on their electric vans – inspired by the amazing drawings of a four-year-old.
The arch-based business was looking for a striking image in which to encase a new electric van and, after trying a range of images, the answer came from one of their youngest customers. Business owner Stafano Afonso said: “We wanted a fresh design for our new electric van wrap and went through all sorts of concepts trying to find the right imagery, from 3D designs, real fruit photography, even a digital screen. But nothing felt quite right.”

As FoodPoint supplies fresh produce to several schools across London, this proved to be the key to unlocking the final design, pictured above. “In the end, it was a four-year-old who settled it,” said Stefano. “We handed over a blank canvas and they just went for it with no brief, no rules, no concern whatsoever about what colour a parsnip should be. We loved it so much that we went with it and, given that we supply a lot of schools, it felt especially fitting.”

As part of their tenth anniversary celebrations, FoodPoint is looking to potentially collaborate with schools in the local community to create something even bigger for their next design. “We're exploring working with local schools and holding a competition for the next design,” said Stefano, pictured above in FoodPoint's warehouse. “It could be a really lovely two-way initiative as we’d get to promote the importance of eating healthily as well as potentially bring the children to the Market to see how the fresh produce for themselves.”
