Today marks the start of #BritishFlowersWeek2023 and we’re all celebrating.
June and July are sensational months for British flowers. Think peonies, all the colours of cut rose, sunflowers, marigolds and garden flowers galore. Expect to catch hydrangeas, lavender, sweet peas, clematis and delphiniums flourishing in gardens across the country. Additionally, there’s an abundance of summer green foliage that June welcomes into season. Beech, birch and other abundant green hedgerow can be foraged from local woods and used to create seasonal bouquets at home.
Take inspiration from your surroundings and share your designs, share your shop windows and spread the love. Tag us in and we will help to tell the nation. Britain has such a strong heritage of wonderful floral art; it’s something we can all be proud of so let’s get it out there for everyone to see.
#BFW2023 is our annual week-long celebration of British flowers and the British floral industry highlights the beauty and variety of British cut flowers, foliage and plants, as well as the amazing work of the British florists, growers and wholesalers who put flowers in the spotlight.
Don’t forget to copy and tag us into everything you do – we can’t wait to see it!
