Rarely can there have been a more enthusiastic visitor to the Flower Market than Betty Lampitt of Flores Boutique Florist (Luton), who brought her team to Nine Elms this morning to introduce them to an element of the industry they had not previously experienced.

Ecuadorian Betty, seen here with Denise of BD Flower Company, had been to the market, but some time ago, and she left today suitably wowed by the people, the flowers and plants and the quality of everything she saw, as well as a car boot full of product for her store and a promise that she will be back for more.
Anyone who was lucky enough to meet Betty this morning will remember her, that’s for sure! Before she left to check out flowers in Belgravia, she told us. “I came with my team for training purposes first and foremost. The market is so vibrant, the energy is fantastic and we interacted with several wholesalers, who were great with us. We met with Tommy from CGMA for a tour of the market and we are so grateful for the opportunity not just to see the market and learn more about what happens here, but for a really important insight for the girls on what happens in their industry.

“We have details for several wholesalers now and will definitely be a customer from now on,” added Betty. “My wonderful team (Carol, Nish and Sally) saw many flowers and plants they had not seen before and everyone was so helpful with information and prices. We could really see the quality of the product here. Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming!”

The visit began and ended (as every visit should) in the Flower Market Cafe, where Betty and Mario showed off a few dance steps!
