Frankie Michaela Spivey, the woman behind Market-based Frankie’s Brownies, won the Food and Drink category, in the People’s Choice section of the Wandsworth Women’s Enterprise Awards 2026.

Frankie’s small batch brownies with big time flavour are handmade at Mission Kitchen in the Food Exchange, 100% gluten free and 100% delicious.
The awards, run by Wandsworth Enterprise Hub aim to recognise female leadership within small businesses at the heart of the borough. They celebrate exceptional women – from sole traders and service-led businesses to start-ups and social enterprises – whose achievements keep the local economy thriving.
The Best Food & Drink category was chosen from cafés, bakeries, restaurants, bars and food producers and Frankie’s Brownies was selected by local people as the standout candidate. Frankie is pictured above receiving her award from Cllr Kemi Akinola, Deputy Leader of Wandsworth Council.
Frankie, who won the Rising Star award at the same ceremony in 2024, has been a Mission Kitchen member since she first started producing brownies commercially, in 2022. “I am so proud to be from this borough and to be able to build a brand here doing something I love is really special for me,” she said. “Thank you to everyone who voted for me – the award is arguably even more meaningful as I was chosen by people in my local community. That inspires me to go on to even bigger and better things!”
