Times Radio’s Early Breakfast show broadcast live from the Flower Market this morning, to bring its listeners the evocative sounds of a busy market on Valentine’s Day.
Host Rosie Wright fronted the daily show between 5am and 6am and spoke to several of the Flower Market’s leading lights about not just the annual day of love and its impact on trade, but the general lie of the land across the broad spectrum of products in the market.
Rosie first spoke to Warren Bushaway of London Event Florist and Alan Hockley of Lavenders of London, then following the paper round-up, to Bob Cooley of L Mills. After the 6.30 news and sport, she chatted to Bryan Porter of Porters Foliage, then Graeme Diplock of Green and Bloom Flowers. Because everyone had been so interesting and entertaining, Times Radio asked whether someone else would appear on the next show and Rosie finished up by interviewing Eddie Martin of R French & Sons, to complete a very rounded picture.
