Everyone is invited to come along and be part of the fun as the Chelsea Fringe 2022 is celebrated on Merchants Way at the east end of New Covent Garden Market.

Come down to Merchants Way on Saturday 28th May and Sunday 29th May and check out the bright, bold and beautiful new sunflower installation by London Event Forist, and take part in garden inspired activities as the local community celebrates the Chelsea Fringe 2022.

Bee inspired and let your imagination flutter… (*The theme is floral British summer and pollinators)

All ages and abilities are welcome and all activities are free drop-in, so there’s no need to book.

Here’s the timetable:

Saturday 28th May

10am-2pm

Watch New Covent Garden's very own master guerrilla florist live in action as Warren Bushaway from London Event Florist puts the finishing touches to this summer's brand new installation.

2-4pm

Try your hand at some pollinator planting, take some Sunflower seeds away for fun at home and get top gardening tips from Father Nature,

Join in a nature inspired mindful art and craft workshop, run with founder and director Julie Norburn, of Art4Space. who will inspire and explore creativity through mosaic making.

Sunday, 29th May

2-4pm

Back by popular demand and extending their series of May sessions across the area, Battersea-based E33 Dance Company showcase their latest choreography entitled: ‘Used to Be…’ by up-and-coming choreographer Rick Fernandes.

Local Nine Elms artist, Daria Hass will be running arts and mindfulness workshops alongside the performances to complement the choreography and floral installation, using the symbolism of butterfly metamorphosis to gently encourage the audience to consider how change can be challenging, but also life-giving and renewing.

The performances and workshops are suitable for all age groups.

E33 Dance Company were selected by the Nine Elms community as part of this year’s ‘Movement and Metamorphosis – Make Art in Nine Elms’ event programme

Merchants Way is two minutes walk from Nine Elms Tube Station.
