Another company based at New Covent Garden Market is celebrating, as MOMO Kombucha, which brews its product on-site, achieved a full house at the 2022 Great Taste Awards.
“Our Ginger-Lemon picked up a 2-star award, with each of our other products picking up a 1-star award,” said Josh Puddle, Co-founder of MOMO Kombucha.
The 2022 awards marked a first time win for MOMO’s Raspberry-Hibiscus and it was clear from the feedback that the judges loved it: “This kombucha has a vibrant, natural pink hue with a cloudiness that adds to the natural feel,” the panel said. “The aroma has clear notes from the fermentation and there is a lovely, clean flavour and mouthfeel.”
Great Taste is the largest and most trusted awards in the sector, widely known as the Oscars of the Food & Drink world. “As well as the core range doing well, our Limited Edition Hops picked up an award too,” said Josh. “This kombucha was brewed in collaboration with the brilliant Orbit Beers at the end of last year. We know a lot of our customers are missing it and we are piling the pressure on our brewers to produce another run. Watch this space…
“Whilst it is great to be recognised by Great Taste for the quality and taste of our kombucha, the main thing is that our customers love it,” he said.
