Rushton’s takes place at foodservice top table

Rushton’s was named as one of the leading Foodservice Suppliers in the country at tonight's FPC Fresh Awards, recognising the business for its outstanding service, reliability and commitment to London’s hospitality sector.

The category celebrates suppliers that have demonstrated the highest standards of quality and customer support, and Rushton’s stood out for its ability to consistently deliver for chefs and kitchens across the capital.

From its BRC-accredited base at New Covent Garden Market, Rushton’s supplies fresh produce to more than 375 restaurants, pubs, bars, hotels and caterers. For over two decades, the business has built its reputation on combining seasonal British produce with premium Italian specialities, backed by a service model designed around the fast-paced demands of professional kitchens.

Judges recognised the company’s unwavering focus on service. Rushton’s delivers twice daily, six days a week, with late ordering cut-offs that provide customers with vital flexibility. Beyond supplying produce, the team supports customers with market intelligence, seasonal planning, menu development and expert advice, helping chefs make the most of changing market conditions.

The business also maintains an exceptional service accuracy rate of 99.7%, a level of consistency that has helped it develop long-standing relationships with many of London’s leading hospitality businesses.

The Rushton’s award entry highlighted numerous examples of the team going above and beyond for customers, and those customers were quick to praise the business. Olivia Grant of St Clements, a customer for more than 20 years, described the team as “helpful and reliable” and praised its “exceptional customer service and support”. Leonard Tanyag, Executive Chef at Los Mochis, highlighted the “consistently top-notch” quality of the produce and the strength of Rushton’s account management team.

Judges also noted Rushton’s commitment to sustainability. The company is one of only a handful of London B2B greengrocers to hold both ISO 14001 accreditation and Zero Waste to Landfill certification.

For Rushton’s, this is recognition of a simple philosophy: when chefs need support, the answer is always to find a way.

Congratulations from everyone at New Covent Garden Market.
