Founded in 1887 by Henry George Walker, today HG Walker Ltd remains a family run wholesale fruit and vegetable business with stands in two London markets (New Covent Garden Market and Western International Market). The hugely experienced and knowledgeable Eddie Barrett has been running the firm since 2012, having worked at the Market since 1982.

The business has specialised in providing and supplying predominantly English produce for over 135 years, working with a selection of expert growers across the country, whose experience, knowledge, and quality are exemplary.

HG Walker is renowned for sourcing top-notch apples, pears and soft fruit  from the nearby ‘Garden of England’, Kent. It also sells a vast selection of seasonal produce, including the finest Yorkshire Rhubarb, Cambridge Asparagus and fresh salads from the New Forest.

Alongside its English produce, the firm has relationships with suppliers across the globe and the wide range of homegrown and imported produce means that its supplies remain seasonal and fresh throughout the year.
