Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Floral Event Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, and driven. Being responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of events, you will have the ability to push creative boundaries, with an innate eye for detail while ensuring that each event runs smoothly and exceeds client expectations. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, time management abilities, and a strong passion and background in event floristry.
This role is perfect for a fun and motivated individual who wants to help drive our thriving wedding and events department by ensuring it runs efficiently and profitably.
This is a role where you will have a lot of your own autonomy to make the role your own working alongside our Events Director and Managing Director.
Duties:
- Managing events that are confirmed by the office.
- Design creative proposals for clients
- Supervising the team in producing samples, and maintaining the high level of WA floristry
- Monitoring and managing gross margins on events
- Deliver projects from proposal to delivery
- Deliver events on time, within budget and that meet and exceed client’s expectations
- Manage on site when installing events and weddings. Front facing with clients as the WA Representee.
- Go to market as and when required
- Create a system that works for you to ensure the smooth running of all events delivered via the studio
- Communicate with the warehouse team to ensure sundries, props and stocks are maintained and oversee for events department.
- Plan and coordinate alongside MD and ED all aspects of events, including logistics.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences while providing expert advice.
- Manage event budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and staff to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Oversee on-site event operations, addressing any issues that may arise promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends to provide innovative ideas.
Experience:
- At least 5 years proven experience in the floral event industry or a related field is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with clients and team members professionally.
- Confidence in event floristry build; able to lead a team on site on any event or installation.
- Computer literate.
- You must be a team player and happy to work flexible hours.
Drivers Licence highly recommended
