Easter trading hours

Fruit and Vegetable Market

  • Good Friday: more than 20 businesses will be open. Please check with your supplier before making a visit.
  • Easter Saturday: business as usual
  • Easter Sunday: Market closed. Saunders’ Sunday Market will open as usual.
  • Easter Monday: market closed.
  • Tuesday 2 April: market open as usual.

Flower Market

  • Good Friday: six businesses will be open. Please check with your supplier before making a visit.
  • Easter Saturday: business as usual
  • Easter Sunday: Market closed. Saunders’ Sunday Market will open as usual.
  • Easter Monday: market closed.
  • Tuesday 2 April: market open as usual

Both Markets will resume trading as normal from Thursday January 2 onwards.

Most traders in the Flower Market will open on Christmas Eve (which is on a Tuesday this year) between 4am-9am. The Fruit and Vegetable Market will be open between 10pm and 5am. In both Markets, although the Market remains open some traders will be closed during the week between Christmas and New Year.

We always suggest that you first check with any traders that you generally do business with, before making a journey, as each individual business is free to open during the hours they choose over the festive period. Look in the menu above to find our directory list for both Markets.

Below are the opening times for the Market Post Office over the festive period:
